Best Practice

A best practice is a way of performing activities or executing processes that is generally considered superior to all other methods in terms of quality, performance and cost. Sometimes referred to as “Best Demonstrated Current Practice” within organizations that continually pursue incremental improvement, the expectation is that the knowledge workers will continue to innovate and improve that practice over time. It is not static. A Best Practice serves as the benchmark against which all other activities can be judged.
