Align and motivate 12 cross-functional teams for huge results.

Consolidation of regional planning centers was part of this client’s move to cut costs during the economic downturn in Oil and Gas. As the organization consolidated more and more, an already-complex planning process of statusing and supporting more than 100 rigs on a daily basis was becoming unmanageable.

Kaufman Global facilitated a Rapid Improvement Event with representatives from 12 cross-functional teams to identify places where variation between regions was causing problems. As the processes were decomposed, the teams peer-reviewed the maps, issues and top improvement opportunities. This ensured multiple inputs were integrated and that there was group consensus on the path forward to drive improvement in the operations cycle.

“We did not know how to approach this issue. The processes were so complex, we weren’t even sure how to describe the magnitude of the problem. Kaufman Global accomplished all we wanted and more.”
