Employee Involvement

The philosophy, commitment and actions that ensure employees are involved in the decisions that affect their work. “Involvement” might be synonymous with “engagement” as long as employees really have the ability to participate in some way in decisions related to the work they do inside the processes they control. Too often organizations think of involvement as one way communication from above or worse, the solicitation of feedback from employees that goes nowhere. If involvement is what you seek and you ask for input, you’d better be ready to act upon it.
